New Year New You

Very recently we danced, we drank, and we partied our way into another year. Its finally 2017, the year we get shit done! Wo hooo! What about this year makes it different from years past? Is it determination, will power, extenuating circumstances, or just over all fed upness (yes, I am fully aware that is not a word; FYI – I obtained a degree [allegedly] from a real university, so do me a solid and just roll with it)?

Whatever your reason or motivation for getting to the business let that be it. YOUR REASON. No one is deserving of our justification for finally writing the book, filming a vlog, or sticking to a diet and/or exercise plan. It is for you and you alone.  Don’t worry, you have no explaining to do.

Many a moons I have allowed my mind to wander with sheer brilliance (ok I am biased of my brilliance, but what type of self-loathing person would I be if I wasn’t) without chronicling my thoughts. As of this year… 123, NOT IT! Not I, says this cat. This year, I am going to get off my high perfectly plump (thank you squats) behind and get to the business. Well technically I am going to sit on my pleasantly plum behind (I reiterate thank you squats) and write, because I know some of you out there are sticklers for accuracy. (BTW – I hate you guys, especially because I am low or maybe even high key one of you… Damn virgo in me).

So I have a bunch of goals and objectives that I am hell bent on tackling. Today I decided to hunker down and chart out this master plan. Muah ha ha ha ha ha!!! In efforts to in the words of a wise man (Larry the Cable Guy), “Get ER DONE”.  I bet you’re wondering what they are. Much like I wonder why there are so many seasons of Grey’s Anatomy. Seriously everybody who is patient at Seattle Grace Hospital dies, even the doctors! I say all that to say my goals are for me to know and you to wonder about.

However, in the spirit of accountability I shall blog about crossing finish lines and meeting my marks. Why? Because it is oh so satisfying to say, “Bish, I DID THAT!”  And of course I hope to have some sort of zen-like spiritual awakening. Who knows, my experience just might help me not make the same mistake a third time. Yes, I am human I make mistakes. On occasion I make the same mistake twice. You can’t fault me if that mistake was really, REALLY attractive. But fool me 3 times and it is time for someone to have me committed.

So I hope you have a beyond Happiest of New Years!!!!
